As a witch dreamer from a family of witches, Amelia “Lee” Charvez has always been considered powerful. Her ability to walk into the dreams of others and work magic is extremely rare, only occurring once every generation. So, when she bumps into the man of her dreams outside of her apartment, she knows he’s the one for her. After all, she’s been dreaming of him for months. Lee can feel that he is different and is not surprised to discover he is a vampire. She and Aiden feel an immediate sexual attraction that quickly turns into more. Therefore, when she dreams of a powerful wizard, she is conflicted. How can she want and feel a connection with another when she is so in love with Aiden?
When three hundred year old vampire Aiden Bell meets Lee, he knows that she is perfect for him. She’s strong and powerful and understands the supernatural world that he inhabits. He and Lee are just beginning to build their relationship when she and her family are threatened by a powerful demon. He knows they will need help, so he calls his best friend and wizard, Alex Carter.
As a young wizard, Alex Carter worked and used dark magic, so he is the perfect man to help Aiden and Lee find and destroy the evil that stalks her. But when Alex meets Lees, he feels an immediate physical and emotional attraction to her. He wants Lee but doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Aiden. They all soon realize that they must form a bond, a Triad, in order to defeat the evil demon. Will they be able to come to terms with the relationship between each of them?
What a wonderful story! The paranormal aspects are wonderful with enough witches, wizards, demons and vampires to keep anyone happy. But the best part of this story is the relationship between Lee, Aiden and Alex. Ms. Dane does a great job of ensuring that Lee and Aiden are secure in their feelings for each other before introducing Alex. Although it may seem quick, both Lee and Aiden know that they have finally found their soul mate in each other, but they understand that they need Alex to complete their relationship. The Triad is needed to ensure that they are powerful enough to defeat the evil, but becomes more than that to each of them. Aiden loves Lee in a pure and amazing way, whereas Alex’s love is much more earthy and physical. Yet each of them gives Lee just what she needs to be complete. Throw in an evil bad guy, lots of magic and mayhem and you’ve got a story that you’ll want to read over and over again. Enjoy!
