Living around others was sheer hell for Tansy
Meadows. Born with a rare gift to feel the emotions of others through
objects, Tansy led an isolated life. Wanting to make a difference, she
decided to use her ability to catch killers. But the stress grew with
each case until she broke under the strain. Now all she wanted to do was
hide long enough to heal and regroup. She couldn’t go back to that
world, not if she wanted to survive.
Kadan Montague lived for his country and fellow
Ghostwalkers, so when he learned that someone was using the Ghostwalker
name to play a deadly game, Kadan vowed to find the truth and make them
pay, even if his fellow Ghostwalkers were involved. The answer to
catching a group of psychic killers who used their considerable powers
to cover up the truth was one stubborn Tansy Meadows.
One look and Kadan knew Tansy was the only one for
him. He wished he could prevent her from becoming mixed up in his deadly
world, but after learning the truth, Tansy doesn’t give him a choice.
Now it’s all Kadan can do to keep her safe. The killers upped their
game, but can he risk everything to keep the Ghostwalker name clear? Or
was it too much to ask the consummated soldier to risk the one woman who
was destined for him?
The tension between the characters sparked the
instant they laid eyes on one another. I like the emotions between the
two, but loved seeing Kadan through her eyes. Unfortunately, though
good, the sex overwhelmed the story at times. I adored the action and
the chase, but it was over too fast. I expected and wanted more. The
focus of the story seemed to be primarily on Tansy, her past and how she
overcame her difficulties. Overall, a book I wouldn’t miss, but not my
favorite of the series.
